Airen put her fists on her hip and scowled darkly at Jotie, looking very offended. I am not a drone. She told him tartly. I listen to music, I draw, and I read when I want to wind down. But I don't play for fun.
Tam feigned getting hurt and closed up one of his wings, falling towards the forest.

Jotie laughed. "Okay, so you do have some fun times by yourself! But you really need to have fun with some friends, like with Bluu or someone." He chuckled and shook his head.
Bluu yelped and flew to catch Tam. He flew underneath Tam and then grabbed him by the tail and began to flapped harshly to keep him from hitting the ground too hard.

Airen's scowl got darker. What good are friends when they're always expecting things of you? I've never had a true friend. I've only been a tool for people around me. My work was my escape. If I was busy, no one would try to ask a favor of me. Friends? Never had 'em. Sparks came off of Airen's clothes and fire ran over her hands and hair.
Tam opened his wings and backwinged. He cocked his head at Bluu and shook his tail.

Jotie felt bad about that. "I don't use you as a tool, do I? I mean, work, yes I have you to have to work, but that's not the point. I want to be friends with you, so we could do some exciting things. Maybe like go fight with orks, or maybe something simple like me buying you something to eat while we talk."
Bluu let go of his tail and said, "Sorry. I thought you needed rescuing."

No, you don't. But people have before. I don't like being a tool, it makes me feel like an object and not a person. And I'd like to go fighting with you sometime. It'd be interesting.
Tam shook his head and rolled. He soared upwards and waited for Bluu. He wondered, a little, about what his friend wanted to do next?

Jotie said a promise. "I would never use you as a tool. If I seem like I am, just hit me across the head, okay?" He chuckled and sighed. "Well, yes. I love to go fighting out there, far away from my lands. Facing orks is quite entertaining. Then again, trolls and ogres are fun too. Those big brutes are a little more of a challenge, but with teamwork, we could take them down."
Bluu flew upwards and followed Tam. He then thought a little what to do. "Let's rest for today. I have alot of excitement today. It was quite fun."

Tam nodded and twisted in the air. He'd follow Bluu to wherever.
I can't hit you!!! Your guards would haul me away or something!!! And I do kinda like my job by the way. Airen said with surprise when he told her to hit him. And about fighting... I suppose I'll only cheat with fire if things start to look bad or something.

Jotie laughed. "Oh ya! Forgot about my guards." He then spoke to her in a more silent voice. "They are bugs compaired to me. They don't even stand a chance against you. They are also annoying when they come to guarding." Then returning to his normal voice, "But I can just command them to not take you away, cause you have my word."

Okay... thank you... but I don't think I'll be hitting you. I'm more along the lines of singing (<singe not sing) people's clothes or hair. Why do you like fighting so much?

Jotie sighed and said, "Well, my family came from a very vastile lands and we were taught to defend ourselves all the time. One time, we commited to raiding an ork's camp, which was I heard about. I came in a family that loved fighting. They taught us to fight, except Krystal, who hated fighting and always seemed to run away to saftey into town. I liked swordplay and I like shooting arrows at people. Archery is my top position, but I like swordfighting as well."

(What is "vastile"? Is that smashing "vast" and "hostile" together?)
I like archery too, but it's more fun for me to throw fire at people. Airen replied with a nod. I've done scribe work all my life. I learned to write at the age of four and was copying records at the age of five. I didn't learn to read until I was about five and a half. You learn to read pretty fast when you're copying all of the time. And to tell you the truth, it was very boring at first. But then Master Firewise showed me where the library was and let me help myself to the books. I can read just about anything and I can remember almost everything that I read.

(I heard of that word before, But really, I forgot)
Jotie chuckled. "That's nice. I'm glad you are very literate. If I would have questions, I would know who to go to then." He patted her on the shoulder. "Well, I should let you get back to work and I should do the same. I got to check up on the marketplace to figure what's legal or illegal being sold and such." He nodded. "Well, see you later." And he walked off.
