"Okay, now for a leap of faith. Take me hand." Gabriel said and held his hand out to her. "Only residents are able to teleport into Eden’s Blood and they must be in contact with any guest they feel like bringing in.”

Crei looked down to his hand, then took it, waiting. Her hand was warm and soft, delicate.
"I understand."
She said, before looking into the distance a moment.

Gabriel teleported and found himself facing Angel. She looked like she wanted to stake him.
“You brought another one home.” She growled at him.
“She’s mostly temporary. She’ll be with Celeste.” Gabriel said in defense and held his hands in front of him.
Angel moved and placed herself in front of Crei. “I’m Angel. Stay out of the gardens and away from Gabriel.”
Gabriel rolled his eyes but smiled pleasantly when she looked back at him. Angel watched him for a long moment before turning and disappearing down a dark path. Gabriel looked back at Crei and held the door open for her.
“That wasn’t so bad. She could have threatened more.” He told her and smiled. “Angel thinks I belong to her, too bad that’s only in her mind.”

Crei nodded to Gaberiel, before deciding to show some of her personality. She quickly flicked off to the direction where Angel was, then grinned at Gabe and headed inside.
"Nice girl."
She said, laughing to herself.
"And, I'll head into the Garden's, but seeing as I can see the future, I can tell when she'll be home, so I can run out."
She had an evil smirk, her green eye swirling, searching. Her grin faded as her eye stopped, and she sighed to herself.

Gabriel rolled his eyes and sighed. “The children of this world are the future.” He muttered and shook his head. “But how in the hell are we going to get there if they insist on destroying each other?”
“Gabe!” Someone else, Ize, called and came from the first floor library. “Angel said she was going to start burning some of your books! She had a volume of your history collection in her hands when I caught her.”
“Ize, this is Crei.” The librarian looked at Crei and nodded. “I will talk to Angel, I need to. Crei, this is Ize. He takes care of my thousands of books.”

Crei nodded to Ize with a smile, then looked back at Gabriel.
"If you're going to kill your admirer, can I come?"
She asked with a small grin.
"Or, may I help? I like to stir things up a little. And burning knowladge just means you have none yourself."
She shrugged while saying that, grinning still. She already wasn't that fond of Angel.

Gabriel looked at Crei and glared. “No.” He said and walked back out into the gardens.
“You like books?” Ize asked her curiously.

Crei looked at Gabe, and shrugged.
"Fun ruiner."
She muttered, then looked at Ize with a nod.
"So, any good books in his library?"

Ize winced. “Libraries, it’s plural. Gabe has six, but we’re planning to build for a seventh.” He told her and then shrugged. “What do you like to read?”

Crei nodded, looking away in embarassment.
"Libraries. Right. Anyways, I like to read History about the world, and, every once in a while,"
She said, becoming more embarassed.
"I like reading just made up stories. Nonfiction. Anything to do with other worlds, I guess."

“Science fiction… fantasy… or just the general fiction.” Ize corrected automatically and turned off towards the history library. “History is in the first level library. Other non-fiction stuff is there as well, but fictional stuff is all on the upper floors. I’ll show you. Gabriel will be busy for a bit and Celeste is still fixing up your room.”

Crei nodded again, thinking quietly.
Know-it-all show off...
She thought, keeping her face at a thoughtful expression, to not lead anything on.

“So what do you specialize in exactly? And who did your technology? Gabriel got me some manuals so that I wouldn’t feel too stupid, but I know I’m still not up to par.” Ize said, trying to start up a conversation or at least establish some minimal friendly connections with her.

"Well, as a job, I specialize in Bounty Hunting. And, Torak made my arm when it was cut off."
Crei replied, wanting to just head to her room to sleep. It had been a while since she got some, and she was starting to feel hungry as well.

“Was it complicated, replacing your arm? I wish I could’ve seen that.” Ize commented mostly to himself and made a detour into one of the first floor kitchens. “This is what we call the north kitchen. I’m sorry, we’re all vampires, so the best we’ve got is blood, unless you like that. But if you prefer something else I can get it for you since everyone else is otherwise occupied.” He offered and looked at her, waiting for her response.

Crei shook her head, baring her fangs.
"I'm a Vampire also, so it won't bother me."
She replied, then checked her arm.
"And, I was unconsious when Torak replaced my arm. All he told me was it was complicated, messy bloodwise, and that I still had my arm nerves."
She clenched her robotic hand to a fist, looking at the gleam.

“Do you mind me asking what happened? If the maiming wasn’t too bad, you could have been able to recover from it on your own. Most vampires can, Gabriel, Ceit, and a few others especially. Age has some wonderful benefits.” Ize said and leaned back against the table. “Oh, vampire blood is in the back, other beings with magical content have the middle section, and regular human blood is up front. We don’t drink animals here. Vampire blood is usually only for special occasion since it has the same effect on us as alcohol does on humans.”

Crei nodded.
"Well, it was an assassin with a silver sword. My arm wouldn't have grown back due to the silver, and because of the weakness, I passed out."
She then looked away, holding her arm, closing her eyes for a moment. She then went to get some human blood.

Ize nodded. “Not uncommon. Celeste has encountered a few nasties like that. I don’t know if she had problems though. She never talks about stuff like that… or Ceit.”
“Don’t give away all of my secrets.” Celeste said and took blood from the middle. “You’re room is done and if you’re tired of this bore, I’ll show you where it is.” She told Crei as she took a drink.

Crei nodded, taking a drink as well. She waved to Ize, then looked back at Celeste.
"Well, I have a few questions for you, if you don't mind..."
She asked, before glancing back at Ize.

“Ask, there’s a fifty percent chance that I won’t answer though.” Celeste said wryly with a faint smile as she took another drink. “But if I don’t know the answer, maybe our resident scholar can answer it… and then there are the things I’m not allowed to answer, for which you have to ask Gabriel.”

Crei nodded to Celeste, taking another drink before thinking how to word a feq questions.
"Alright. I have a few. One; Why does Angel like Gabriel? Two, Why does Gabriel seem to be coldhearted, and three, why does Gabriel even need me around? Because I'm sure he can take care of Slayers himself."

Celeste and Ize shared a look and she shrugged.
“At the top of the stairs, there’s a portrait. It’s Araceli, Gabriel’s love. Angel looks almost like Araceli… with a few physical differences and many emotional differences. Angel’s mean and rude.” Celeste said quietly, the silence in the background painfully apparent. “Gabriel seems coldhearted, but he still cares about people. It’s a mask he wears to hide the pain. He still loves Araceli and he misses her very much. And Gabriel is sometimes in his own world. He doesn’t notice things most times. Age has many benefits and soon he’ll be getting wings… at his 1000th birthday. I think Ceit’s got his already. But Ceit is relentless in trying to kill Gabriel, but no one can penetrate the manor unless invited by a resident, the four of us here regularly, or unless Gabriel gives them a ‘key.’ So Ceit is stuck trying to kill him on the streets.”

"Ah. So, I have to be the hidden shadow around him, I suppose."
Crei looked away with a sigh.
"Oh well, I'm used to it. I accepted Gabriel's invitation here so quickly because at the castle, I was always ignored, or feared. I am like my father; solitary, quiet, preferring alone to companionship. I grew into a shadow, however, like my mother. I guess I'm just used to being different. And alone."
Her gaze turned outside to a window, before her eyes closed with another sigh.
"Well, show me to my room, please. I'd like some rest, and I still have to clean my gun's barrel."

Celeste looked at Ize again and waved before walking off. “Actually, it depends on what you want to do. You can be as visible or invisible as you want. But Gabriel doesn’t usually go farther than his little section of the manor. However, there is the occasion when he goes out.” She said leading up the stairs. “Sorry, the room I put you in is on the same floor as Gabriel’s and he’s on the sixth, away from all of us noisy people.”
