Lilis was walking... in the middle of the night through the market. She was hungry. She hadn't fed in about week. Her vision swam in a red haze and she was hoping that she could find some decent trash to feed on that night. In fact she didn't think anyone would mind a missing murderer. Grinning, Lilis came up behind the guy and began to feed on him.

Karita watched from a doorway, the darkness hiding her face.
Another vampire. Wonder if she'll join the kings army, or the vampires..
She watched her feed, not bothered at all. A few people darted away, shaken from fear and shock. Vampires were supposed to be legends, not real. And yet, there were more of them around then you could count.

Finished with the murderer, she dropped his drained corpse on the ground. Lilis licked the remaining blood from her lips. As though she had done nothing unusual, she continued done the street. She didn't see anymore gutter trash and that was a pity. Lilis was still hungry. Sighing, she leapt up onto a rooftop and then leapt across to another one until she was racing across the rooftops. At last she stopped and looked up at the full moon.
"Lady Moon... staring down at me... Your face is pale and your eyes are baleful..." Lilis sang softly and sadly as she looked up at the moon. "You called to me once... and young and foolish, I answered you..."

Karita followed the Vampiress, hiding in the shadows. She looked up at the moon, also. It was as if you could reach out and grab it tonight. She heard faint singing, probably from the girl.
((Sorry, WB))

Lilis scowled up at the moon and jumped down into the alleyway. She noticed another woman standing in the alleyway too. Lilis' scowl deepened.
"Well, what do you want? To skewer me on a stake like all the rest... 'cause it isn't going to happen!" She snarled at her, her eyes blazing.

"Of coarse not."
Karita grinned a bit, her own Vampire fangs showing. The gleamed as the moon shown down on them both, and she stepped out of the shadows so she could be seen. Her eyes seemed to glow a bit green, but, it died down quickly.
"But did you hear? Mortals against Immortals, the Vampire King against everyone else. Of coarse, he won't live, but it'll be a good show, you think?"

Lilis snorted and shrugged. "I don't care one way or the other. Mortals and Immortals will always clash, just like Mortals always fight amongst themselves. I'd rather not be drawn into this d***ed war, but," Lilis shrugged again, "I have a feeling I'll get pulled into anyhow. Why does all of this matter to you?"

"Because."
Karita smirked once more.
"I know the answers. One shall be sacrificed for another, and the true king shall be revealed. And, we need warriors. You look like a good fighter, correct?"

"That was rather poetic. Are you sure you aren't a bard?" Lilis asked sarcastically, relaxing enough to lean against the wall. "I'm listening... this does sound kind of interesting."

"I'm not a bard, I only write poetry in my freetime. Anyway, the current Vampire King is called Vlad Dracula. He rules by fear, and gains power from it. Zuki, another vampire, has been attacked by him, along with me. But, I found a book that seems to hold all the answers. It is the rebelling vampires that are fighting, and some mortals who are sick and tired of him are helping. Everyone shall be be rewarded that fights.."

Lilis sighed and closed her eyes. She really didn't care, but she was curious. "And what is this reward that the fighters are supposed to get?" She asked, just because she was curious not because she was greedy.

"Depends. The ones who fight the most will get more luxaries than the ones who shivered in fright, hiding under their beds. Fighters shall be regenized all over Kestal as saviors, and they shall be treated as they should be-with respect."

Lilis snorted derisively and pushed herself away from the wall. "I'll think about it. I'm not scared of war... I've lived too long to be scared of matters like these. They happen all of the time and nothing ever stops them!" She snapped bitterly at her with a slash of her hand. "What is your name and how can I get in touch with you if I change my mind and decide to help?"

"My name's Karita. I'm usually at the Palace, and, if I'm not there, then I'm probably out wandering. But look for a lioness. I'll be right there."

Lilis smirked and shrugged her shoulders. "You'll either hear from me or you won't." She said and leapt back onto the roof. "I'm Lilis by the way, and if I don't want to be found.... you won't find me." She told her before disappearing into the night... and to look for some more food.
