She walked among the fields on a hot night, sweaty to most. But, she didn't seem to be bothered. It wasn't like Egypt; where the sun beat down all the time, and rarely rained. She smiled, her hips swaying as she walked.
Yet another night of another year of being alone...
She thought, thinking about other matters on her mind.

Synn walked through the fields. He had left earlier, so that way he would not get caught up in another mess to the point wher he almost dies from the sun. He did not exactly want a relap of that one time.
Synn felt the heat on his skin. It was only night and it was rather hot this time. It was somewhat humid as well, Egypt was a bit dryer from what he remembered.
As he walked, Synn scented another being, more likely, vampire. He eventually spotted a figure walking in the fields a distance away.

Shii sighed, and looked up a moment, staring at the sky.
Well, the sky seems the same. But no gods around there.
She thought, and sighed.
Why on my life did the gods have to let Egypt crumble? Were they teaching us a lesson?

Synn had glanced over at the figure. He saw it was a female vampire. As Synn looked, something about her seemed familiar to him. He had no idea why though, but he was slightly interested in her already. Well, he felt like he wanted to talk to her, so he decided he would.
He soon caught up with her, appearing behind her. "Hello."He said to her.

Shii turned, and looked at Synn a moment.
Almighty Horus, another Egyptian Vampire!
Shii bowed to him.
"My name is Shii. Your's?"
She asked, already expecting an answer.

Looking at her features closely, Synn saw she was suprsingly Egyptian. That most likely explained his weird attraction to her. Remembering Shii just asked him a question he bowed in the same respectful fashion. "Synn Wan Yrre."He said, stating his full name.

Shii nodded, then thought a moment.
"Just curious, but, which part of Egypt did the gods place you in? Lower, or Upper? I managed to be lower, living amonst the Nile tree."
She said, referring where the Nile was seperated as it flowed up.

"Really now?"He asked. Synn was a bit suprised Shii was also from Lower Egypt. "I actually was raised in Lower Egypt as well..."He said. He found it a bit unique that he would come across and Egyptian who had also been a part of Lower Egypt.

Shii nodded, then looked away sadly.
"Theivery. Death. Decay. The great empire had become fallen about two-housand years ago; when I was born. And I don't remember much. Except sand, oasis's, the nile, and the great pyramids..."

"So..the great empire came to a close..."Synn said. He was a bit sad to hear that, it had after all been his home. "I was born about 2,000 or 3,000 years earlier..so I was not there to witness it."He said to Shii. He was a bit thankful he did not have to see it, but it still hurt. At least he knew what had been going on a bit.

Shii nodded.
"I'm not sure if Horus and the other gods were either trying to punish us for a crime, or, if they just got tired of our nature."
She shrugged.
"I just hope the gods know what they were doing..."

Synn thought. "I'm not sure...maybe it was both...or maybe..."He paused. "I really am not sure. Maybe it was our time to end, so the Gods may guide a new born empire somehwere else.."He said thoughtfully. Synn was not a god nor had he spoken to one, he just was not sure.

Shii nodded.
"That sounds resonable. After all, the only one who would like to see death is Seth."
She felt a shiver down her spine, as if the dark god was behind her.

"Death...at least it would guide those to the afterlife. I wonder what it would be like after you die.."Synn wondered. They said the afterlife was to be wonderful, like a paradise to those who pass on. Synn would never know really, but maybe he just was not meant to leanr such a thing.

"A place like Egypt, only more flourished. I believe. The hieroglyphics on scrolls were scratched, torn, or doodled on, so I couldn't decipher all of them."
Shii sighed, knowing she wouldn't get a chance to see the afterlife, either.

"I was only the son of a farmer, I never recieved many chances to go into the temples."Synn stated. "Maybe some things are better left unknown. Or maybe we;ll be around till the world ends, and when it does we'll finally see it."He suggested to Shii.

Shii nodded.
"You never know what the gods have in plan for the future. Some things may happen, some may not. It's just a roll of the dice of fate..."

"Heh...yet the ones who often pay for it are htose who live on earth.."Synn could not help but remark. He sighed, running his hand throgh his hair. "Eveything and anything can happen.."

"It all depends on the place you are at a certain time."
Shii sighed.
"Like if I hadn't had been running late from the market at nightfall, that vampire would have never gotten me..."

"I see what you mean."He said. He looked at Shii. "You like being a vampire?"He asked. Honestly, Synn thought it was somewhat ok. It had some perks, but had several restrictions, you could not die or go out in the sun usually.

Shii shrugged.
"Other than the fact I'm awake when most everyone is alseep, and you can't see the sun you used to love to watch in the morning, I'm fine with it. You get used to the loneliness, I guess..."

"At least we can see the moon...it reflects the sun's rays, so that's close at least."Synn said. "It does get lonely though, rather hard to find people to talk to or anything really..."He said. Synn traveled alone, so it may be his fault for isolating himself, but lately he had been able to open up a bit more.

"It's just not the same, though. The sun gives life to everything, aand it's hard not being able to see the giver of light and food every morning..."

Synn did not exactly respond right away. True, the sun and moon wer not the same and they never would be. He silently sighed, as he looked up into the dark night sky. It seemed to just go on for eternity, never ceasing to stop.

Shii sighed, and noticed the silence. She laid down to look at the stars.
"The thing that I like most about being able to only live at night is the stars. All the billions of them, no exact count..."
