Short Story - My future, or just a dream?

Introduction

Yes, it's waaay early since I typed this. It happened not too long ago. Well, I just told what I looked like in one of my dreams to my friend, Karita. And for some strange reason, something weird happened when I went to bed at one thirty seven in the morning. All I remember of getting some sleep is five minutes. Then a big flash of white light emitted. So bright, I didn't want to open my eyes. Okay, here it is. This weird and truthful story.

I woke up and I noticed I was on rock solid ground, instead of my nice comfy bed. I groaned, muttering curse words, because I didn't get a wink of sleep. The light finally left and then I looked around, wondering where I'm at. I shrugged and stood up. I felt my face and suprisingly, not like any other dream, I could actually feel my touch. I couldn't even see good, considering I am not wearing my glasses.

As I gazed around the new environment, I noticed red clay dirt around me, flat as a desert. Only a large mountain right next to me. I looked up into the sky. But there were no stars... No moon... And the sky seem to have a faint eerie red glow to it in the dark sky. Yes, it was bloody hell dark to see clearly, so my glasses wouldn't of helped anyways.

I thought it was just a dream. But as I looked at myself, I noticed I was still wearing Navy Blue boxers and my white FUBU t-shirt. The exact same clothing I was asleep in! Was it a coincidince?

I sighed. "Great. I'm in a middle of nowhere, no people in sight, and this dream seems too real. Usually they are more horrific or dangerous than this." I yawned, just now noticing that I was very fatiuged still.

"Ugh... Why am I still tired?" I asked, talking to myself, which is normal to me. "Well... I guess I'll lay down and go to sleep, see if I wake up in my bed."

I laid down and closed my eyes. But man, it was uncomfortable, trying to sleep on the cold hard dirt ground. I turned around, wiped my eyes, but it was a bad choice to do, considering the dirt on my hands, got pushed into my eyes. "Agh! Dreams don't do that!" I snapped, bolting up and wiping my eyes off, using my shirt this time.

I then tried again, going to sleep. This time, I succeeded, sleeping. I had a short, very short dream though. It was of me inside a video game that I played too much, which was Fly For Fun, or FlyFF I call it.

Soon after, I was rolled onto my back and then immediately stabbed by a sharp claw! I woke up, screaming and jumping away. I looked at myself, seeing if I was bleeding. I looked around, noticing a... weird demon creature thing, not sure what it is. I think it's a guy. Looked like one too. He had weird ears. Bat ears or something. They were kinda fuzzy. He had fur all over his body and four jutting horns coming out of his head.

He laughed, speaking so similar to my voice. Which was a little creepy. "Startled you, huh? Sorry, I thought you were dead or something."

I stared blankly at this guy. "Uh..."

He seemed pretty cheerful for... whatever he is. "Say, why are you here in the middle of nowhere? I mean, I haven't heard anybody sent here on pourpose. Well, whatever. It doesn't matter. Everywhere is nowhere here and there."

I then widened my eyes. Forgetting he was different and similar to my voice, I asked, "What is this place? Are we lost?"

"Psh! Na! Not lost." He said with a wave of a hand. I noticed his hands had sharp big claws. I gulped upon sight of them. "Why, are you?"

I didn't know if I could trust this guy. I've never seen him. I've never seen a creature like him actually. I stood silent, looking around, trying to see if there was any humans around, but who's kidding? Only me and this creature thing.

"Well?"

"Oh uh. Mm... Yes, I'm lost." I said, feeling it was useless. If he attempted to kill me, I would wake up... Right?

The creature chuckled. "Well, it's so rare to find a human around here. Usually they are being tortured or something by other demons. Did you manage to escape from one?" He seemed to widened his eyes and smiled about that. "How did you manage that? They say humans are weak! And you don't look threatening either! Wow! You must be an expert! Are you like an expert theif that can cast illusions or something?"

I then shook my head. "Uh no. Actually... I was sleeping in my bed. I then woke up, seeing that I was here. Which is odd and a little creepy now that you say humans get tortured here..." At that moment, I just wanted to run from him.

The demon shrugged. "Well, I'm no threat. And ya, spooky to sleep in your home, then somehow get here. My name's Johnathan. Nice to meet you! Got a name, or do I have to make one up for you?"

I then chuckled. "My name is Johnathan too... Johnathan Allen to be exact." Though, I should of shut up there. I shouldn't of used my last name, but if he says he ain't a threat, then I see no harm.

He then laughed, which was like mine. "Wow! Same exact names! Oh, I got a toughy... What's my middle name?"

I then glared at him. "How the hell am I supposed to know!? Ray?" I then said.

He dropped his jaws, showing razor sharp teeth, and four longer ones. "Whoa... so we have the exact same name... Now that's creepy... Also, you sound just like me. Another thing is, you have my eyes!"

I didn't realized that, until he said so. I stared at him, looking at him. He wore peasent clothing it seems. Brown leather chaps with matching leather shirt. And a fuzzy belt with a weird arrow shaped buckle. But then, I noticed the buckle moved. I blinked and then stared at it for a moment. THen it hit me. It was really his orange fuzzy tail.

"See something?" He asked.

I blinked, then shook my head. "No, nothing. I just mistook your tail as a belt. Heh." Telling him the truth.

John shrugged and then said, "Well, you look like you need some clothes. I don't want you to be travelling in your breifs around here. It might make you look like you have no privacy at all." He said, chuckling.

I sighed, nodding. "Ya, no kidding."

Just as we are about to head off, I heard strange flapping noise as like from a large bird, only louder and more slower paced. I looked up into the sky and looked around.

"Uh oh... A Demuskis."

"A what?" I asked. "Another demon? Is this one an evil one?"

He shook his head. "No. I don't think so. They are more 'holy' and more nicer. They are blind as a bat, but they can read minds and do magic that other's can't. Let's see what this one wants."

As he said that, the other demon came and landed four paces in front of us. "I don't wan't anything, but the kid." He told John. "I've been trying to contact him from day one, but it was hard, considering his dreams mixed up with my thought patterns, making him see himself as me."

I blinked and regconized him. It was the same exact look as what I saw as myself. A dragon head, but with long bright red spiky hair that comes down to the lower back. Dark red scales. Wings of an angel... All what I saw that I thought was me, now is right in front of me!

"What do you want?" the other John said, sounding a little peeved.

"I just want to talk with him. Something he must learn for himself."

Then I kinda forgot the rest. Either it wasn't interesting or something... I can't remember. But I can't sleep. Seriously, it freaked me out. It was something about me becoming a demon exactly like the other Johnathan or something... Truthfully, I don't know. All I remembered is this:

"Your death is your future. You will be reborn as a demon, called a Skylar, the creature you stand next to." I wish I would know more. But that's all I can think of.

I kinda reworded it, because some of the words were too hard to spell and I couldn't remember some of the words, so I tried my best writing this.
