"Come here... please?" Sol called again. "You can't get out of this plane, yet. Please let me heal you."
Somnus stirred in Sol's lap but remained unconscious. Sol's heart banged in his chest. He was over-extending himself. He never cared though. It was nothing new to heal his brother and anyone that he had injured.
"Please?" Sol begged Ryhe softly.

Ryhe stumbled back and curled, up his knees to his chest as he remained upright. His hands went into his auburn hair and he rambled, "Plane? Plane, what's a plane? I... I canna see where you are, I canna see where I am? Zye? Zye... I hear ya, I'm comin' home... Zye... I'm sorry too..." His blind eyes darted around, frightened.

Sol sighed and picked up his brother. "The light and the dark we carry sometimes puts us in another plane. Sometimes it's just light or darkness that we create. But we're in a middle plane of light and darkness." He explained to Ryhe as he walked up to him. Sol sat down beside him, cradling his brother in one arm as reached out for the eye that Somnus burned. "Now let me heal you."

Ryhe shook, then he turned his head down. He took a while to think, then he nodded slowly, "Al-alright then." He picked his head up, "Just donna hurt me anymore."

“I won’t hurt you.” Sol whispered and gently touched his fingertips to Ryhe’s face. “I only protect.”
The burned skin began to regenerate and Sol concentrated on healing Ryhe’s eye. It was just as hard as Sol thought to heal two people at once. He felt sick but continued on.
“Tell me if you notice improvement in your eye. It will help me.”

Ryhe blinked and squinted. He smiled, "That's good." Though all he saw was blurs, he knew it was taking up a lot of the kid's energy. He stood and looked around, then to Somus, "Did I hurt him badly?"

"I can handle it." Sol said, not wishing to answer Ryhe. "That's not good enough. Come back." Somnus curled more comfortably in his brother's lap. That was something he would never grow out of and Sol never minded.

Ryhe's brow furrowed, "What's not good enough?" His fear had gone, he felt more comfortable with talking to the calmer one. His eye was slightly dilated, opening and closing, trying to heal itself.

"I want to heal your eye more... and I think I might be able to heal the other one." Sol said tiredly and shook his head. "I want to try."

Ryhe shook his own skull, "No, you rest. I'm fine with one for now. Lemme help ya to place to rest." Ryhe offered his hand.

Sol looked at Ryhe's hand dazedly and shook his head at it. He stood up, his brother still in his arms, and swayed precariously. Sol groaned and pulled in his light and Somnus' darkness. The darkness almost made him throw up.
Sol and Ryhe stood near a large boulder, seemingly in the middle of a forest. The inn was about a mile and a half behind them though. Sol sighed and looked at Ryhe.
"I'm sorry for this mess. Somnus can't really help it. He's tried to change, for me, but he can't." He apologized to Ryhe. "I'll take a look at your eyes in a few days, though, if you don't mind. I want to be sure you don't have problems."

Ryhe shook his head, "It was my fault. I dinna know what I did to make him mad, but I know I shouldn't have said it." Ryhe was a special man. He was too easy to forgive something that traumatized him for a few minutes. It was probably how he was raised from the age of six by the Bandit King before him. "Do you need help back?"

Sol gave a weak laugh. "Back to where? We have no where to go. For the past months we've slept on the road. Innkeepers don't like us and tell us there is no room." Sol set his brother down and then stretched out beside him. "We're okay out here. There is nothing to steal and there is no point in killing us. We keep each other warm too."

Ryhe smiled, "Well, then I'll leave you two. By yer brother's actions, I take it you don't like my company. Thank you for that 'charming' experience. Tootles." Ryhe waved and slowly headed into the forest, hoping it's the right way back.

~ It's not that. ~ Sol told Ryhe as he drifted off to sleep. ~ I said I wanted to check your eyes again. My brother is hot tempered and impulsive. It happens everytime we stop somewhere. ~

Ryhe looked back, then he sighed. He walked back to the boys and looked between them. He sat and crossed his legs, but not before he set them in more comfortable positions of sleeping, side by side on their backs, and placed his long coat over them. He started a small fire and used his ears to keep guard.

Somnu was the first to wake up. He felt stiff all over. He sat up and looked back at his brother. Sol was in a dead sleep and nothing would wake him. Somnus sighed. He'd been bad again. He spotted Ryhe by a fire and looked away.
Some time passed and Somnus stood up. He limped over to the fire, by Ryhe and sat down again.
"I apologize." He said softly. "Sol probably told that I'm very impulsive and irrational. I'm sorry."

Ryhe smiled, "Donna sweat it, laddie. I've met far worse in muh travels." He poked the fire with his claymore, "I know how ya feel, once I go berserk, I do the same. There's no need to apologize. Though, sorry about yer hips."

Somnus shrugged a shoulder. "Sol took care of that. He always does. I know I make him unhappy, but I can't help how I am. I tried to change once, just to make him happy." His lips pressed into a thin line and the piece of wood in his hands burst into flames. "I razed a village. I don't know if I killed anyone though. Big brother is always fixing me and taking care of my messes."

Ryhe chuckled, "I hear that. My own brother and I are no different from you two. Tyler was always there, cleaning my wounds, comforting me when a wife died, saving me from executions." Ryhe smiled to him, " My big brother, though half my size, is my hero. Feel lucky kid, in these times, we have rare gifts, you and I."

"There are the times when I feel like chopping his head off myself." Sol said softly from behind them. "But then I'd miss him."
The brothers smiled and Sol sat beside Somnus. He yawned and leaned against Somnus. His brother looked down at him but didn't say anything.
"I'd miss him too. There'd be nobody to smack the back of my head when I'd start to act like an idiot." Somnus replied with a wry smile.

Ryhe chuckled and looked between the boys. He thought of a younger pair of Teran twins. He shook his head gently and stood, "You boys hungry? I can go out and catch ya sumthin'."

"There's food in our packs." Sol murmured and then curled on his side in front of the fire.
Somnus got up. "I'll get them."
Somnus walked though a dark portal and came back in a few minutes. He carried a black bag and a gold bag. He dug through Sol's bag to see what he had.
"Dried fruits and vegetables... There's meat in mine."
"Don't touch my herbs..." Sol mumbled, half-asleep again.
"Are you hungry?"

Ryhe shook his head and sat. He blinked his eye frantically, then rubbed it, grunting as he stood. He walked to his trench coat and picked it up, rummaging through an inner pocket. He took out a pair of primitive spectacles and put them on, now seeing better. He sat back by the fire and prodded it a bit.

Sol sat up and glared blearily at Ryhe. "That's not good. I want to look at your eyes again. Please?"
Somnus pulled out some food, glancing between his brother and Ryhe. Sol wasn't about to let it go. He never did.
