Kilian exited a forest and knew he had entered a field of flowers. He sniffed the air and smiled at its sweetness. He had recently been climbing in the mountains where the air was cold, crisp, and fresh. It was a nice change to smell something sweet than something frozen.
Kilian knelt and let his fingers find the petals of a flower. His fingers traced the face of the flower and ran down the stem. It was slender and soft. It wasn't woody so he knew it wasn't on a bush. Humming, Kilian set his staff down and began to inspect the flower with both of his hands. He wanted to see it so bad, but he didn't need to go into his peregrine form so he didn't shift.
"What beautiful is this that it blossoms on the edge of a field? Can it be that all of the other flowers pushed it away from the center because they didn't want it there?" He asked of no one as he talked to the flower.

Not too far, Jotie and Bluu were just strolling by the Kingdom side in the Feilds of Fum. Jotie rode on top of Bluu, now that he is just the right size and had the strength to do that, but isn't big enough to fly still. It didn't bother Jotie any, Bluu needed the exercise anyways, because Bluu just lounges around on the feild all the time.
Bluu stopped and tilted his head. ~Jotie, a creature is in the feild... Is it safe to go meet it?~ He asked cautiously.
Jotie smirked and peered over and saw a Sage. He seemed like he was feeling the flowers. Also, he noted the Sage was blind. He sighed and shook his head. "Poor fellow... I wish there is something to help him see. The best I can do is a temporary far-sight, but that would only last for three minutes... Let's go see him, Bluu. Just be sure to keep your tail to yourself. It isn't polite to poke."
Bluu nodded his head and walked over. He stopped by and ruffled his wings. Jotie jumped down easily from his back. "Hello there. May I ask who you may be?"

Kilian stood up hurriedly and stood facing in the direction of Jotie's voice. "Um... hello... sir." Kilian stammered nervously. His hands were clenched by his sides since he had forgotten to pick it up. "You are accompanied by a dragon... that is interesting..."
(I gotta go!)

Jotie looked back at Bluu, then turned his head and looked back at the man. "Hmm... Well, yes I am. Don't worry, he is very kind."
"King Jotie says your blind." He said, walking up to the Sage and looked at him with curiousity.
"Bluu! Hush now..." Jotie said. "Heh heh... I mean, I'm guessing you were blind, because you were touching the flower so delicately."He said to the sage, not knowing what flower he was actually touching. He bowed down respectfully, showing he was nice to older people, even if he was the king. "I am Jotie Tamaro. No need to worry. I was just strolling after a while, before I have to travel back to my kingdom. And," He pointed to Bluu, "The dragon's name is Bluu. He is my partner in the Kingdom of Kestal. He is one of my guards basically, but we both watch each other's back, isn't that right?" He said, looking at Bluu.
Bluu nodded and snorted. ~I save him more than usual.~
Jotie looked at him. "What? Who's the one that saved you from the tar pit?"
Bluu grinned. ~And who saved you from when you got captured by a Wyvern?~
Jotie became quiet and Bluu started laughing. Jotie sighed and chuckled. "You always win, don't you?"
"Because I'm always right." Bluu added. Jotie then just chuckled and shook his head. He knew Bluu was still young, but he had a strong heart.

Kilian took a couple of steps back because Bluu was in his face. He put his hands to either let Bluu smell him or so that he couold feel Bluu's face. "I am blind so don't worry about bowing or saluting respectfully to me." Kilian said, his head turned to where he had last heard Jotie speaking. "I am called Kilian, my family name was Bladewings... but that was when I wasn't blind and still a member of the family."

Bluu sniffed him and nudged his head against Kilian's hand. ~You smell like any two-legger. What does it mean if you are a blind?~ He asked curiously.
Jotie smiled. "Well, Bluu. He is blind. He just can't see."
Bluu turned his head and lifted his head, making the hand touch him still. ~You mean he can't see? That's not good, no.~ He whined. ~So you don't know what I look like?~
Jotie smiled and patted his side. "Don't worry Bluu..." He said and looked back at Kilian. "So, you are from the Bladewings family? Sounds interesting. Could you... tell me about it some?"

"Bladewings was a high-ranking warrior family back home. I was born under the Bladewings crest. I would have been a warrior like the rest of my family, except I started to have visions." Kilian explained to Jotie as he felt Bluu's face with his hands. "The visions caused me to go blind. I had though. I had to pick between my sight and the Sight of Visions. I chose the Sight of Visions because it would benefit others and because I was afraid of not understanding what I had already seen.
"Of course, you can't have a blind warrior on a battlefield." Kilian said, his voice turning sour. "I was a disgrace to my family after I lost my sight. They didn't care or understand why I had chosen the other Sight. I was... orphaned after that."

Jotie's eyes lit up. "That sounds great! I mean... You can actually see what's going to happen? That's... Wow." Jotie was impressed and he smiled happily. "How about coming with me to the castle and we can talk more about this over there? I will let you ride on Bluu's back."
Bluu added a random comment, ~All two-leggers I met feel soft.~ He said as he watched his hands touch his head and then his nose.

Kilian grunted, dropping his hands from Bluu's face and kneeling on the ground to find his staff. "It's not like that all of the time. The future changes all depending those involved in the vision." He said as he felt around around on the ground. "I've noticed that sometimes my saying this will happen in the future will actualy cause my vision to come true. I try not to say anything about a vision after I've had one, but if someone really wants to know what I saw... I tell them." Kilian stood again and leaned against his staff since he had found it. He then turned his head towards Bluu and smiled at the dragon. "Do I feel soft too?" He asked with a laugh.

Bluu used his tail and poked his side thrice times. Jotie just smirked and shook his head as Bluu did that. ~Yep. You feel soft too.~ Bluu then turned his side and lowered himself, so Kilian could ride on his back.
Jotie walked around and took hold of Kilian's hand and supported him to get onto Bluu's back. "You know... That is pretty interesting... I wish I could see like that, but it doesn't work out for me that way. I may, however help you see for only a few seconds, if lucky, a whole minute. But... It takes lots of magic, so I don't use it that often. Me, I have plenty of magic power to do such a thing. Do you want me to see if it works on you?" He asked politely.

Kilian smiled and shook his head. "You have no control over what vision you have and sometimes they aren't nice. I don’t think you would like it, I don’t even like it all of the time.” He told Jotie, shaking his head. “As for allowing me to see… I think it is best that you conserve your energy. If I’m not mistaken, you’re on the brink of war aren’t you?”
Kilian frowned slightly and shook his head as he felt Bluu’s back. He had ridden a horse once when he was little, but he’s never ridden anything since then. Kilian wasn’t sure it was a good idea for him to be riding on Bluu, even with Jotie’s help.
“Um, I must confess… uh, I’ve never ridden a dragon before and, uh… it has been close to twenty years since I’ve ridden a horse.” He told them as he closed his eyes. “I have a rather long-legged walk… or I could just fly myself… unless you really think it’s a good idea for me to ride with you on Bluu.” Kilian rubbed Bluu’s back, feeling his scales under his hands.

Bluu smiled as he was being 'petted' by Kilian. His scales were still soft, because he was still a young baby dragon. ~It's okay. You can ride my back. You could use my wings as support, just in case if you find yourself feeling like your falling off.~ He said to the Sage.
Jotie smiled. "Well, if you feel like to walk, I will be walking with you, okay? It's just a little dangerous to get back to the castle, considering the brink of war is starting and the orks and goblins are setting preperations to attack both sides."

Kilian turned in Jotie's direction with a grateful smile. He nodded vigorously. "That would be very preferable Majesty and I've had troubles in my journeys before.” Kilian told him with another smile. “But I wouldn’t worry about either of them today. Most of them are getting drunk after plundering some caravans they just robbed. I don’t think they’ll be causing any major trouble until tomorrow.” He said and patted Bluu's back before tickling his side. "As I said, I don't think we'll have much trouble."

Bluu started laughing and started to move away when he started tickling him. Jotie smirked about it and and started to walk. "Well, if you say so, let's get a move on then. I trust your words that they won't bother us I belive, but if they do, It might not be so much of a problem."

“If I am wrong, we will hear them long before we see them.” Kilian said as he began to pick his way through the flowers. He found a path that had few flowers on it. That was where he walked so that he would crush fewer flowers. “Would you mind telling me what the field looks like since I cannot see it?” Kilian asked Jotie wistfully as he walked through the flowers. “They smell so beautiful and they feel so nice, but I can only guess what they look like. Just out of curiosity, are there any purple or red flowers here?”

Jotie smiled and chuckled. "They are common tulips. Nothing out of the ordinary. But the one that I saw you came close to was a purple Banna. They make delicious sap inside if you get them out." Jotie smirked and patted him on the back. He noticed a silver flower. It was a silver rose. They are rare to find, yet Kilian had his hands on it. "And the flower you have there... is a Silver rose. A very rare rose that grows with no thorns. Wow. I'm suprised you found it. Knowing me, I wouldn't of seen it!" He chuckled and smiled.

Kilian felt the petals of the rose he was holding. A faint smile crossed his face. “I don’t need to see anything to find something. The gift of being a sage is being able to see something without really seeing it. Of course, there are other sages who are just wise and don’t have visions. I think their vision is somewhat limited though.” Kilian smiled again and shook his head. He held the rose out for Jotie. “I think you can appreciate this more than I can. Please take it for me.” Kilian’s voice was sad when he spoke but he was serious. “Does Bluu have a favorite flower?”

Bluu grinned and nodded. ~Yep! It is Blue Harrison. Pretty flowers that grow near the lakes. Their petals are countless and they tickle when you smell them. They are pretty big too.~ He added.
Jotie sighed and then had a good idea. "Hey... Do you want to see the flower? You know, for only a few minutes? It might be a whole new world for you to see what I look like, Bluu, and your flower." He smirked and looked at Kilian with curiousity.

“I… I’d… rather not. Thanks… all the same.” Kilian said hesitantly, still holding the rose out to Jotie. “I’ve seen the world before. I’ve seen green trees, black, white, gray, red, and painted horses, tall people, short people, crows, swans, and all sorts of things. I’ve seen a medic tent and I’ve seen the aftermath of a battlefield. I’ve seen so much Jotie. I’ve seen so much that I think it’s better I can’t see anymore, unless I’m in my Peregrine form.” He said his voice full of pain. “I’ve watched people die, fight over stupid matters, love another, and lose everything in the end.
“I know what Bluu looks like. He’s a Dragon about the size of a horse with sapphire blue scales. In another couple of months he will be big enough to fly and carry you at the same time. You are an Elf, your skin is pale and you have wings. You are Lord and Prince of this kingdom, people generally like and you like to have fun and meet new people. Am I close or am I right?” Though Kilian kept a straight face, tears slid down his cheeks as he spoke. “Please do not offer me my sight again. I chose to be this way and I have vowed to stay this way. Please don’t…”

Jotie stared at him and he became a bit sad that now he made him cry. "Oh... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you or anything. Let's... Just forget what I said." He lifted his hand up and took the flower delicately into his hand. "But, you are right on what we look like. I was only trying to help. Forgive me for what I have said. It's just a complex spell, really, so it won't matter. I won't do it." He looked away, a little saddened for making him cry.
Bluu tilted his head and nudged Jotie with his nose and poked Kilian with his tail. ~Not to innterupt, but can we go home? I'm bored.~ He said. Jotie smirked a bit about that comment, but still felt sad on what he said.

Kilian wiped irritably at his tears and started walking again. He wasn’t upset with Jotie, he was upset with himself. Kilian did miss being able to see, but every now and then he did get to look.
“It’s alright Jotie, but thank you anyway for the offer. It… is more than anyone else has ever offered me before.” He told him, now under control again. “You don’t need to apologize to me either. I’m the one who must apologize, so please forgive me. I suppose I didn’t make things very clear and I shouldn’t have lost control. And Bluu, we can go now.” He said, smiling at the young dragon.

Bluu nodded as he walked forward. Jotie followed next to him as he looked at Kilian. "Oh... So you are fine then? That's good, but I must offer you something that you would enjoy. Hmm..." He thought for a moment. "Maybe... You could work for me? As a seer or something. Would you like that?" He asked with a smile.

Kilian allowed for a small smile. “That would be nice, thank you.” He said as he stepped over a log. “Perhaps there are some questions you’d like to ask me? Normally, everyone is dying (almost literally) to ask me as many questions as they can about everything they can think of. It’s really annoying, but you are one and not twenty. I can handle one, or two, “ he said with a smile for Bluu, “people asking me questions.”

Jotie shook his head. "No no... It's quite alright. All I want is to live without knowing what lies ahead of me. As long as... I don't die soon, but I know that won't be for a while."
Bluu was the curious one. ~So, what is going to happen to me soon? Is something fun is going to happen? Are there going to be great stories that are being told to me or anything?~ He asked happily.

Kilian chuckled and rubbed Bluu’s nose. “Okay, but if you change your mind Jotie, I’ll still answer your questions and not just about your future either. You can ask questions about me… where I came from, what it was like, stuff like that.” He said and tickled the dragon’s chin.
“Now you, “ Kilian said as he patted Bluu’s head. “You can always make fun happen wherever you are. There is no reason to wait for it to come to you. If you want a story, I’ll tell you one. There are plenty of stories floating around in my memory.” He told Bluu, purposefully skipping the dragon’s first question.
