Airen blew warm air in his ear playfully. She turned her head and pressed her lips lightly against his cheek, his skin felt far cooler than her own.
Hungry? She asked him and rested her head on his shoulder.

Torak nodded, kissing Airen back.
"Starving."
He replied, pressing his cheek agains hers.

Airen smiled and stood, setting the lock on the work table. She held her hands out to help Torak up... even though he didn't need it.
I think I still have some food stashed in my room. If not, I can bully a cook into giving me something. She said with a mischievous grin.

Torak nodded. He pulled himself up with Airen's hands, then pulled her close to kiss her on the lips.
"Alright."
He said after pulling away, grinning as well.

Airen grinned crookedly and nodded once. Okay then. Follow me. She said, picking up her bag and the lock from the table. She went to the door and fixed the lock to it. She locked it and unlocked to make sure that she remembered and then waited for Torak. Airen only hoped no one would be dumb enough to try to break into an Archive Room.

Torak followed, his hands hidden behind his back. He fingered something he had in his palm, then slipped it back into his glove with a small smile.
"So, which way?"

Oh, just down the hall, around the corner, and then we’ll ascend the stairs into the stars. Airen replied and stepped back to scowl thoughtfully at the now locked Archive door. Paint… Oh sorry. It’s this way.
Airen pivoted on her right foot and headed off down the hallway. She kept a slower pace for Torak. She didn’t like taking long in the hallways, someone always wanted to talk to you. Airen hated just talking to someone because they wanted to.

Torak easily kept pace with Airen, walking right beside her. He tucked the small item he was playing with more in his glove, so it was undetectable, and you couldn't see where it was inside it.

Only noticing that Torak was beside her; Airen picked up her usual pace, a jog for a normal person. She was ticking things off on her fingers. Paint, possibly red, I have brushes for the job. I should probably cover it with something… I’ll need to paint a ward too… Was that my door? Airen stopped to look and then started walking again with a shake of her head and returned to her thoughts.
Airen found her room by walking into to her door. Bloody, blazing hell! I leave the door open for a good reason! She snapped as she opened the door. Everything still looked like chaos, so she didn’t worry.
Airen’s room was littered with books, papers, and a pair of large tables covered with long sheets of paper. She set her bag by the door, wove through the books, and up to a bookcase. It wasn’t there. She moved the other bookcases and stopped by her bed, looking bewildered. She snapped her fingers and walked over to her desk. All of her painting equipment was there, along with her latest piece of work of midday at the market.
Sorry about the clutter. I never keep guests… and I usually bring work back to my room because no one bothers me here. Airen apologized with a shy smile.

Torak nodded.
She does know how to only work...
"It's not a problem."
He said, wading through the mess.
"Not at all..."

I’m truly sorry. Airen said again and looked around. The bed or the window seat is your best chances for a place to sit. Or you could just move something to the floor. I’ll find a place for it later… So try to make yourself comfortable… I’ll be right back. She said putting her painting stuff down and walking into a side room.

Torak made his way to the window seat, and sat down beside the papers. He pulled the ring out of his glove, and smiled at it. He quickly put it back in it, then looked around the room, scanning everything.

Airen checked to see if there was anything edible left in her secret stash of food. She was in luck. She’d either been shopping recently and forgotten, which was likely, or someone had restocked for her, less likely. She made a salad, some sandwiches, and quickly cooked up a platter of meats and fish, namely salmon. Done with the food, she balanced the two platters with the spare plates beneath them, and held the salad bowl against her side before carefully walking out.

Torak looked up, then rushed over to help Airen. He took the plates from her, easily balancing them.
"It looks delicious!"
He grinned.

Thanks... I only cook when I have to though. So I can't say that it will be very good. She said, setting the salad on her bed. It's the only place big enough to sit on and eat. Sorry... She apologized again as she went back to get the civilware.

Torak smiled, and watched. He pulled the ring out quickly with a smirk, then put it by her plate. He acted as if he didn't do anything.

Airen wouldn't have noticed the ring when she came back, except the metal interesting. She set the civilware done and picked it up. She turned the ring over in her hand, examining it thoroughly.
So I'm going to assume that you like me very much, perhaps love me, and that you want to be with me forever. Airen said very slowly and looked up at him.
I hope you know what you're getting yourself into with me. She told him, slipping the ring on.

Torak grinned.
"I do, don't worry."
His teeth gleamed, and he moved to sit beside Airen.

Airen looked at him and then grinned herself. I wonder… She replied teasingly. Well, at least you know, because I don’t. I’ve never gotten myself into a relationship farther than friendship. Are you absolutely, one-hundred percent sure that you want to spend forever with me? She asked him, giving him a measuring look and then smiled to show she was playing.

Torak chuckled, and leaned over to kiss her.
"I'm sure."
He replied after he pulled away.

The food’s getting cold and I forgot drinks. Airen said quickly and got up. She hadn’t meant to do that, but she was flustered. As she reached to get glasses she noticed her hands shook. Airen grabbed the glasses, dropped one, grabbed another, and then got a pitcher of water.

Torak listened carefully, and sighed. His head tilted down.
From what I hear, she doesn't want me..
He shrugged it off. She was just shocked. He'd use that excuse for himself.

Airen held a glass of watered-down wine out Torak. Sorry, I got flustered. No one's ever told me they love me before. She told him as she sat beside him.

Torak looked at Airen.
"No one?"
He asked, brushing a hand on her cheek.
"No one at all?"

She pursed her lips and shook her head. No one. She repeated.
