Ryhe sensed the tension between, but he left them to it. Normally, he would have stopped them, but now... he didn't want to. Hell, he didn't want to breath right now, let alone move. If he wanted to get over this mood swing, he needed drinks. The only way to GET drinks is to move, so. The elf continued.

When they stopped fighting, they walked in an almost oppressive silence. The darkness of the night weighed heavily on Sol. He looked up, but knew there was no hope for even a silver of a moon. Somnus ran ahead and disappeared through the darkness.

Ryhe watched after Somus and sighed. He felt tired suddenly and he sat on a log. He let himself flop back onto the ground behind him and stared at the stars, his legs draped over the log still. He rolled his head to Sol, "You can go back if you want."

Sol looked down at Ryhe and shook his head. "I wouldn't do that. I've never left Somnus, why should I start with you. It's not like he'll go very far and I'll still give you a lift if you want."

Ryhe sighed, "I'm gonna be here for a bit lad. You should go get some rest. You still need a lot more hours..." Ryhe deeply sighed. He sat up and rubbed his head.

"That is alright. I will stay with you and Somnus remains close." Sol replied as he laid out on the ground. "And my brother is only half correct when he speculates that I sleep with one eye open."

"Half correct?" Ryhe asked. His interest was coming back to him and his eye got a small portion of it's excitement and power. He sat up and brushed off his back.

Sol laughed. "Yes, I don't need to close my eyes in every form to sleep. This one, for example, has a couple sets of extra lids that are, more or less, transparent. I only have to cover my eyes with one of these lids and fall asleep. My brain still processes everything I see even though I'm not awake."

Ryhe stared at him for a while. The bandit placed a hand on his chest and looked at the stars. He really didn't know what to do. Rest here? Or go back before his stuff was stolen? He got up slowly, forgetting the bar and wanting to go lay down by the fire. He sighed and headed back.

Sol watched him go back and called for Somnus. A yowl was the only response he got. Sol went to see what had happened to his twin. Somnus had gotten his left forepaw stuck in a trap. Sol helped him out and wrapped it in a bandage. Som decided to ride his brother back to the fire and fell asleep draped over his neck. Sol lay down by the boulders, watching the fire.

Ryhe sat in a thoughtful position, he was on a rock, his legs apart, his elbows resting on them, his fingers linked and his chin resting on his fingers. He stared into the flames, his long ear constantly moving up and down at his thoughts. He was tired, but he didn't feel like sleeping. He sighed and closed his eyes anyway.

Sol shifted back and fell asleep, his twin propped on his side. The twins slept together and used each other as a pillow. For having done nothing all day, they were worn out.

Ryhe remained awake all night. His mind wandered and flipped about in his memories. He didn't like to go through them, but, he couldn't help it. He was up in the morning, hunting for Sol and Somus. He was just coming back with two bucks the sun was coming up. He set one down beside himself and started skinning one.

Sol was up with the sun, but he didn't move. Somnus' head was pillowed on his stomach and he didn't want to wake him. Sol looked over at Ryhe.
"It's nice that you're getting food, but have you eaten anything yet?" He asked him as he watched.

"Hm?" Ryhe looked up, "I'm fine." He went back to skinning, tearing out the bones and organs and the meat, placing them in their piles. He did the same to the other and he tossed the heads near the pile and he hung the skins like he did with the bear. He looked at his bloody hands and sighed, wiping them off on his pants.

Sol sighed and slipped out of his cloak. He folded it up and positioned it under Somnus' head as he got up. He went to his pack then and got out a water canteen and some travel rations. Sol held them out to Ryhe.
"I didn't see you eat anything yesterday, so that puts you at about two days without food. As a healer, I really must insist that you eat something. Of course you could continue to starve yourself and I would have to tell Zye why you aren't going to be coming home anymore."

Ryhe looked at the rations, then smiled to Sol, "I ate this mornin' lad. I canna eat another bite, really." He put his hand up, "Thanks for the concern. Even IF I was starving myself, my muscles would provide and alternative source of energy and I could go on for a few months." He chuckled and pushed the food back to Sol, "You two need it more than I will ever."

"I will contest that statement and it's not good to rely on your muscles for energy. After a while, you won't have any muscle." He told Ryhe and put the travel rations into his bag again, the canteen he kept out. "Have you been up all night?"

"I... think so. I dunno, zoned out a few times." Ryhe chuckled and sat, inconspicuously putting a hand over his stomach. He smiled to Sol, "Sleep well, laddie?" His grin was as bright as it was before Somus brought up Tyler.

Sol smiled and took a drink before answering. "Yup! And I really would like to check your eyes today, but after I eat. I have to look at Som's hand too. He got it caught in trap just before we came back." Sol looked back at his brother, who was still sleeping and cradling a bloody hand.

Ryhe chuckled, "Alright." Then, he frowned at Sol's comment about Somus's hand. He looked at Som, "Oh lord, is it bad?" He felt guilty. If he hadn't wandered off for the bar, the lad might have been okay.

"I don't think so, but it bled pretty bad. I was afraid to try anything because I was still pretty tired." He smiled reassuringly at Ryhe then. "But don't worry. He'll be fine. He's suffered far worse before."

Ryhe sighed, "Then heal him first." He nodded behind him, "Go ahead and eat your fill, but leave some for Somus. If you want I can go out again." He smiled.

Sol laughed. "If I'm that hungry I'll go and hunt it myself. You make me feel lazy doing that." He took another drink and crawled over to his brother.
Sol carefully picked up his bloody hand and unwound the bandage. The hand was a ragged mess of blood, tissues, and bone. Sol made face and poured some of his canteen over the wound and then began the tedious process of cleaning the wound.

Ryhe flinched and stared. His mouth closed from opening it in surprise. He looked away and his ear lowered, he knew it was his fault. Ryhe sighed and rubbed his eyes.
