Ryhe chuckled, "Ease up on the lad, lad." The elf smiled lightly and he finished the meat in his hand and swallowed hard. He knew was going to regret it later. His stomach was already growling madly at him.

Sol grunted. "Okay, you go with him next time and when he gets into trouble, you'll wish he had more brain cells. But he's still pretty funny sometimes, I'll admit that."

Ryhe looked at him, "I just might." He watched the fire die, he'll bring it back around nightfall. He looked to the sky, "What day is it?"

"Aye, and she's she's due any day...I should head back soon, he'll kill me if I miss the baby." He stood, " If you want, you can come back with me. We have a few guest rooms you two can stay in and Zye's a wonderful cook... but I'll do the cooking while she's recovering."

Ryhe shook his head, " Nah, let him be. We can leave in the morning." He smiled and looked back. Ryhe stretched happily and stared at the sky, he couldn't wait to be a father.

"He's likely to come back by about nightfall. We could leave then." Sol looked over at Ryhe with a smile. "She could have a night birth and then you would surely miss it if we waited until morning."

Ryhe blinked and a bead of sweat fell down his brow. Birth. That word scared him. The Teran curse made him fear for her life, if a Teran woman gives birth to five kids, she's likely to die. He sighed shakily.

Ryhe blinked and looked over, smiling, "Of course." He wiped the sweat drop off. "It's just a tad hot for me." He sighed and grinned to Sol.

Sol gave him another measuring look before standing. He stretched and then touched a finger to his forehead.
"Hm, and you say it's a tad hot after the fire goes out." He said and then smiled at him. "Don't forget that I do have the healing talent... Speaking of which, I want a look at your eyes, now that we have the time."

"Fine." Ryhe took off his glasses and turned his face to Sol. "LOOK! No healing until you can tell how much it will take, alright?" He scolded lightly.

"Okay," Sol replied innocently and knelt in front of him. He placed his fingertips lightly on the sides of his eyes. After a few minutes, he smiled. "It's not that bad, or as bad as I thought. I can fix this in a quick snap."

Ryhe raised a brow, "Sure? If you pass out, I'll kill you." Ryhe joked as he grinned to Sol. Maybe a gentle punch on the shoulder.

Sol shrugged. "I'd likely come back and Somnus would be... more than very angry if you did. And passing out is actually better for me. So just hold still and catch me if I fall."
Sol began the process of regenerating the pathways of the optic nerve and the brain.
(I've gotta go. My dad is making me go bike riding with the rest of them.)

Ryhe shook gently as his felt his skin fix and his nervese reconnected. He gripped a rock and growled slightly as he finally felt pain in his face for the first time in close to half a thousand years.

"Sorry..." Sol murmured and numbed the pain with his magic. He shifted into Ryhe's sight for a moment. Damn! It's still blurry! Sol worked harder to fix the nerve and restore perfect vision to Ryhe's eyes.

Sol yelped and fell away from Ryhe. He looked at him blankly for a moment and then staggered to his feet. Somnus came flying into the camp, shifted, and ran up to his twin.
"Sol? Sol?" He asked him and Sol looked down at him. He smiled and ruffled his hair. "Hey trouble-maker. I'm fine."

Somnus rolled his eyes. "Save it for what? He doesn't ever use his energy unless I act like an idiot." He shrugged then. "But of course he could be a midwife for your wife when she gives birth. Sol's never caught a baby before, but he's still one of the best healers you'll ever find." Sol looked a nice shade of crimson.

Ryhe looked between them. He thought, "If... if Sol really wanted to. But... I can handle the birth if you don't want to." He looked at Sol and smiled weakly, he knew his brother embarrassed him.

"Ah... no... I wouldn't mind. It'd be... well, a good experience." He replied slowly and scratched the back of his head. "Your wife might actually prefer you beside her. Of course, if you'd still like to participate in the birth, I'll let you."
