I've not heard much about robotics, but I keep myself busy. I don't like wasting my time if I can be doing something. Airen told Torak, flipping the page in her drawing pad to start a new sketch. I work all of the time, even in my sleep.

Torak stared at her, confused.
"Even in your sleep? You need rest, you know. Relaxation. Time to yourself, not your job. Work isn't everything, you know. It may seem that way, but trust me. It isn't."

Airen chuckled. I can't help it. I draw up taxes, settle records, write letters, and finish sketches in my sleep. It doesn't bother me. I love my work. It's so much fun and it's relaxing to me.

Torak shrugged.
"Suit yourself. If you like it, then, that's what pleases you, I guess."
He looked back at the horizon, watching the sun.

It's not filling. Airen said as she began her new sketch, working most of it from memory. As much as I love my work, I crave something else. It's something I can't have, even friends are denied to me.

Torak looked back at her, confused.
"What is it?"
He asked, curious once more.
"Something bad? Good?"

Depends on how you look at it. For me, it's something I've never had. She paused to look up at Torak. Her smile was sickly and sad. Raised an orphan by a cult, never learned how to have friends, live for work... The one thing I've never had... try love. Thoroughly upset, Airen buried her nose in her sketches.

Torak looked back at her, and thought a moment, to try and cheer her up.
"Well, the perfect guy will come around someday. You're beautiful and smart, and..."
He swallowed, then looked away again.
"I'll stop. Anyway, what I'm saying is, it'll be easy for you to find the perfect guy."

I don't think so. I can't see past my work to see what I could have. Airen said and shoved her drawing pads into her bag. If you've never felt it, never seen it, how do you find it?

Torak thought a moment. It was like a riddle.
"You just know. If you enjoy being with the person and want to be more than friends, then, that's love."

Airen raised a brow. She shook her head and created a small globe of fire between her hands. It was almost a violet color. Airen couldn't decide if she wanted it to be red or blue, so it was both.
I said before that I've never felt love. Some people I like well enough, but it's not like I'm expecting to spend time with them. If I meet them, then I consider it lucky chance.

Torak shrugged.
"There's someone out there for everybody. You'll find the lucky man eventually. Trust me, he'll come."
He smiled at her, looked att he fireball she was making, then looked away again.

I don’t know. It’s not like I have time to look and I don’t have a very good overall impression of guys in general. Airen responded and made the globe bigger before molding it into a violet colored dragon. It looked at Airen and then at Torak. Ekirth moved to Airen’s shoulder. It’s not your replacement Ekirth. Don’t get so feisty. So, what do you think of it Torak?

Torak looked to her. It took him a moment to realize she meant the new dragon. He looked at it as it stared up at him.
"Cute, really. I've never seen a dragon his or her color before, so, I really am speechless."

The violet dragon drifted over to Torak and sat, looking up at him. Airen smiled, memorizing the scene so that she could draw it later. She'd already put all of her drawing instruments away. Plus, it would give her something to do later that night.
It likes you. The violet dragon nodded agreement.

Torak nodded, still watching the dragon. He laid his hand down, so he could climb up his arm. With his other hand, he gently moved it to the head, rubbing the scales. He chuckled, feeling like a kid at Christmas.

The violet dragon arched its neck and let Torak rub it. Airen watched and felt that she just couldn't wait to draw the picture later. She pulled out all of her drawing untesils and started to draw the scene before her.
If you like it, you may keep it. Ekirth is enough for me and I would only have to destroy it once I didn't feel like keeping it around anymore. Airen told him as she set the outline.

Torak nodded.
"Alright, I'll keep it. Now, to decide on a name."
He shrugged, then gently nudged the small dragon to his hand, and lifted him up.

Liking the new scene before her, Airen flipped a page over and began a new sketch. Working quickly to set the outline, she would worry about the details later.
It has no sex, so you can give it any name you like. Airen told him glancing between him and her sketch pad.

Torak looked at Airen, and nodded.
"Alright. Just, to think of one."
He shrugged, thinking of a good name for the dragon. He crossed out all the ones he thought of in his head, wondering what the small dragon would like.

Airen finished the outline and decided the details wouldn't be too important. She dug through her bag and pulled out a box of oil pastels and a rag to wipe her fingers. She took a violet-lavender colored pastel from the box and began to work on the dragon. It wouldn't take long but she wanted it to look good, like the rest of her work.
The violet dragon stared up at Torak, but grew bored. It blew a tongue of violet colored fire and then began to play with, twisting, molding, and shaping the fire.

Torak smiled at the dragon, watching the fire.
"How's Ryuu?"
He asked the small dragon, rubbing him on the forehead again, thinking it was a simple, yet good name.

The violet dragon, Ryuu, nodded and climbed up to Torak's shoulder. Airen finished coloring in the dragon and began working on Torak and his clothes. She glanced up at him occasionally, just checking to make sure her colors were as close as they could get.

Torak know rubbed the scaled under Ryuu's chin, smiling.
"So. Ryuu it is."
He said, tickling the small dragon a moment with a grin.

(I'm gonna say he, but please correct me if I guess wrong.)
Ryuu tossed his head and bit Torak's finger, though not enough to hurt him. He chewed it, causing no damage. Airen didn't pay them any attention. She was only about half done with Torak and she still had to color the background. At least her pastels were new.
