"Well, tell it to Sol. He's patient and he makes time for anything serious he wants to do. I'd either get sick or fall asleep. I don't listen well, part of the reason why I keep getting into trouble." Somnus replied.

"Even for him, it might be to long. That adventure took months... and turned for the worse." He looked at Somus, "I killed a woman. An innocent, young woman. I took her life, I took it with my bare hands..."

"I don't know how to respond to that." Somnus said softly. "But as I said, Sol is very patient. If it took the rest of his life, he'd still listen. That's the way he is and he actually listens."

Ryhe took a deep breath and laid back ," I'd doubt he's want to listen for long. He rolled his back to them, going to try sleep again. "Night."

Somnus chuckled. "Sol is surprising and it's still his element. It's still a few more hours until sundown." He chuckled again. "Sleep tight brother."

RYhe listened to his words and thought. It was at least an hour before he finally closed his eyes, even then he couldn't sleep. He tossed to get comfortable enough to at least doze.

Sol curled up against Ryhe, applying gentle pressure. Somnus curled up with his twin, resting his head on his back. Sol purred softly again and created gentle vibrations.

The vibrations caused Ryhe to calm down and his nerves to settle. He smiled and buried his face into his folded arms, ready for sleep. He slipped into a sweet dream and smiled to it. He didn't wake up from a nightmare this time.

The sun slipped beyond the horizon and the darkness of night began to settle over the land. Somnus was the first to wake. He collected wood and rebuilt the fire. He set up a cooking tripod over the fire and began to cook a stew.

Ryhe refused to wake. This was the most sleep he got in months. He curled up more and resisted the smell of food to continue this dream.

Sol woke up and yawned mightily. He looked over at Somnus, who was checking his cooking again. Sol then checked on Ryhe. He decided not to get up. He didn't want to wake him up on accident.
~ Is it almost done? ~ He asked his twin.
~ In a little bit. ~ Somnus replied. ~ Go back to sleep. I'll poke you when it's done. ~
Sol didn't argue and did go back to sleep.

Drool slipped onto the ground from the bandit's mouth. He was dreaming of eating meat in the great and golrious city of Valen, Lxn. It was the greatest of cities in Ryhe's homeworld and one of the hardest to get into. It was rumored the food was glorious and now, the bandit was finding out for himself.

Somnus chuckled softly and nudged Sol with his boot toe. Sol opened an eye and looked up at his twin with a groan crossed with a meow.
"Dinner's done." He said softly.
~ Okay... ~ Sol replied with a yawn and pushed himself up. He switched his tail and accidently hit Ryhe across the back.

Ryhe grunted and opened his eyes. The bandit groaned and put his hands over his ears, and let his eyes shut again. He was tired and after a sleep like that, he wanted to stay asleep.

Sol looked at him and got up carefully. His twin gently dropped a warm blanket over him. Sol padded over to the fire and shifted. Somnus poured him some of the stew and then some for himself. They left the last bit in the pan for Ryhe, when he awoke.

Ryhe smiled, glad they were letting him sleep. He wrapped up in the blanket and went back to sleep. This dream was a good memory of holding his first granddaughter and singing to her.

"This is good Som. Did you put some of my stuff in it?"
"Sorry Sol, but I must confess that I did." Somnus said with false contritness. " However, I humbly accept you're praise."
"Humbly, ha!"
The twins continued to talk quietly, even long after they had finished eating and washing their travel dishes.

Ryhe woke up an hour later and he opened his bloodshot eyes. He sat up slowly and rubbed his face, then the shoulder he slept on. He looked around numbly, then to the twins, "What time is it?"

"A few hours after sundown." Somnus responded softly and the twins watched him. "There's some supper left if you're hungry sleepy-head... In fact, Sol's gonna insist on it."

Ryhe yawned, "Thanks, I'm starving." He staggered to his feet and he felt a tingling sensation all over as he swayed. He saw spots and he fall back with a grunt.

Sol poured the last of the stew into a big travel mug and brought it over to Ryhe. He stuck the spoon to it and held it out to him as he sat down beside him.
"You should eat better. It'll make you sick if you don't." Sol remarked.

Ryhe sat up and took it, smiling, "Thankee lad." He sipped the soup and smiled, "Tastes Great!" And he started to down it.

"You make me blush!" Somnus interrupted playfully.
"- and you should begin to feel better after you've eaten." Sol continued as though there had been no interruption at all.

"Who said I wasn't feeling well?" He put the mug down a bit as he asked. The elf chuckled and continued to drink. When he finished, he smiled to Somus, "Well, Som," he tried out the nickname, " You have a great talent for cooking." He smiled and stood less wobbly, then headed to a brook to clean off the mug. He came back after he throughly cleaned it.
